26 ASEAN teams to fight in the upcoming paintball open

Twenty-six ASEAN teams will be competing in the upcoming Brunei Darussalam Paintball Open (BPO), which will be held at the Paintball Arena at the Jerudong Sports Complex next month.

The two-day tournament which will kick-off March 8 will see teams from Brunei, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand and Singapore vying their skills to be the best in the arena.

Three divisions will be competed – Division 1, Division 2 and the Mechanical Division.

Champion of the Division 1 will win cash prize USD2,300; USD1,500 for runner-up; USD750 for second runner-up; and USD350 for fourth place.

Division 2 champion will receive USD2,100; followed by USD1,000 for second place winners; and USD750 and USD370 for third and fourth place winners respectively.

Mechanical Division winner will bring home USD1,000; USD750 for the first runner-up; USD370 for second runner-up; and USD150 for fourth place.

A signing ceremony for the official partners and sponsors of the upcoming BPO was held recently at the Royal Brunei Technical Services Headquarters.

Representing RBTS was its Chief Administrative Officer Hjh Kamariah Hj Masri; and Manager of Paintball Arena at Jerudong, Pg Saharuddin Pg Hj Tuah.

The tournament also known as BPO 2019 is a part of an on-going initiative to grow the game in the Sultanate and to promote the country as one of the paintball event destinations in the region.
