Darussalam (AITI) recently conducted a workshop dubbed “Women and eCommerce” for local women entrepreneurs.
The two-day workshop, which was the first of AITI’s eCommerce workshop series, aimed to provide the participants with online business opportunities that would lead to the expansion of their market outreach and increased revenue.
The participants were taught basic eCommerce activities including the use of digital applications and commercialisation of products in the online marketplace.
Moreover, the workshop also included sharing sessions by local eCommerce platform providers and vendor, namely Ta-Pow, Weelago and Nblicious.bn; an online safety talk by ITPSS and briefing on local business support programmes by Darussalam Enterprise (DARe).
The workshop was facilitated by TechOne Solutions and supported by the Department of Community Development (JAPEM) under the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports.
In a statement, AITI said that the programme will be further extended to entrepreneurs from the Senior Citizens Activity Centres (PKWE) and members of Village Legislative Councils (MPK) throughout the nation.
It is hoped that by the end of the programme, participants would be able to join any of the local eCommerce platforms to promote and sell their products and/or services online, it concluded.
