The 2021 Elantra is Hyundai’s newest head-turner for its compact sedan segment, flashing a redesigned look that is sharper and sportier than its predecessor.

The sixth-generation Elantra is built on Hyundai’s new architecture, K3 platform, which makes the car to be more spacious, safer and more efficient than the previous platforms.

Its unique Sensuous Sportiness styling theme makes the car bold and strong inside and out. Not only that, but the Elantra is loaded with technology, making it competitive against all its competitors in the same segment.

“The car is bigger and more stylish but it comes with an affordable, smaller price,” said General Manager of Setia Motors James Chin at the unveiling of the all-new Elantra at the auto dealer’s showroom in Beribi recently.

The Korean car which is exclusively distributed by Setia Motors comes in two specifications – Premium and Standard.

Flashy exterior

The new Elantra which style has a longer wheelbase, wider stance and lower roofline compared to the older generation.

The overall length has been increased by 2.2 inches while the wheelbase is 0.8 inches. The car is also 0.8 inches lower and 1.0 inches wider, giving it a more aggressive stance.

With 113.6 cubic feet of over interior volume, the Elantra is technically classified as a midsize car.

The exterior look adapts the all-new Hyundai’s design called the “Parametric Jewel-pattern Design”, consisting of triangles which design has been integrated on its side profile making it apparent.

The design highlights the depth of the front grille, making it resembles diamond-cut gemstones and the bold and elongated front headlights come together to give the Elantra its front sporty look.

The edgy spoiler on the trunk and the integrated all-in-one taillight which represents Hyundai with its distinct H-shape design helps create a high-tech, futuristic rear look, described Hyundai in its brochure.

Sensuous interior

The new Elantra is not just neat and elegant on the inside but it is also driver-focused with properly laid-out buttons that give a hassle-free driving experience.

The Immersive Interface of the Hyundai cocoons the driver like a cockpit that surrounds the pilot, offering easier control and an enveloping, advanced driving experience.

On the Premium spec, the interior is fitted with natural leather seats combined with a Bose premium sound system of 8 high-performance speakers throughout the whole vehicle.

The cockpit is also a fully immersive space with a 10.25-inch digital cluster which is tilted 10 degrees toward the driver for easier control.

The Elantra premium also comes with wireless smartphone charging that is as simple as placing your phone on the charging pad.

Powerful and safe Elantra

The car’s new K3 platform delivers agile handling and stability that gives an optimal driving performance wherever you go.

The Elantra is powered by a 1.6MPI fuel-efficient engine that pushes out 127.5 PS / 155 Nm of torque.

Some of the safety features are such as Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist, Blind-Spot Collision-Avoidance Assist, Driver Attention Warning, Smart Cruise Control, Lane Following Assist, and Rear Cross-Traffic Collision-Avoidance Assist.

Both Premium and Standard specifications are now available for sale and also viewing by the public at Setia Motors.

The Hyundai Elantra Premium is priced at $35,800 or $5xx per month while the Hyundai Elantra Standard is $28,400 or $4xx per month.

Early bookings will have a choice of $800 off the price tag or a 64GB iPhone 12.
