More than 550 students from universities and other education institutions were engaged with during Autoriti Monetari Brunei Darussalam’s (AMBD’s) five-day Financial Awareness Roadshow, which concluded at the Universiti Brunei Darussalam (UBD) earlier this week.
The roadshow which began at Universiti Islam Sultan Sharif Ali (UNISSA) saw various finance agencies including Bank Islam Brunei Darussalam (BIBD), Junior Achievement (JA) and Takaful Brunei AM (TBA) arranging their own activities to heighten students understanding on financial management concepts and products.
Also involved in the roadshow were the Employees Trust Fund (TAP), Financial Planning Association of Brunei Darussalam (FPAB) and Centre for Islamic Banking, Finance and Management (CIBFM) as well as government agencies including the Department of Economic Planning and Development (JPKE).
The roadshow was held as part of AMBD’s ongoing activities to correspond to the National Savings Day, which is observed by Brunei every May 28.
The next event in line with the national observation is the 4th Financial Fun Fair which is to be held at the Jerudong Park Colonnade from August 17 to 18.
