
An-Nur Harapan, a local social enterprise providing vocational training to youths with different abilities, has officially opened its centre in Jalan Kebangsaan, catering to the commencement of the third cycle of UNIKLEARN programme.
The centre is a bungalow awarded by the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports that serves as the organisation’s headquarters and UNIKLEARN’s training premises which currently accommodates seven trainees.
The facility which was awarded to An-Nur Harapan in December 2019 has two training rooms, two kitchens, a laundry room, an office, a common room, an extended back area with two extra rooms and a garden.

Member of the Board of Directors of An-Nur Harapan Noorsurainah Tengah, in her opening remarks, highlighted the importance of having a centre for An-Nur Harapan.
She expressed her gratitude towards the organisation’s current and past partners and corporate sponsors such as Gleneagles JPMC and Mix Media.
Moreover, Noorsurainah aspires for An-Nur Harapan’s future projects and collaborations, thanks to the new sense of stability and sustainability the centre has brought.


The new training building saw the start of UNIKLEARN 2020 class in March which programme has entered its third year since its pilot in 2018.
Just like previous trainees, once completing their in-class training at the center on September 30, the students will begin their two-month internship from October 1 to December 31.
An-Nur Harapan focuses on helping to provide the community with lasting solutions achieve positive impact via its vocational and internship programme UNIKLEARN.


The programme is funded and managed by the social enterprise for youth with different abilities with the objective of empowering them towards independence and be contributing members of the community.
UNIKLEARN trainees are assessed and trained in basic living, home, community, participation, social, independent living and vocational skills.
Through the year-long programme, trainees will be exposed to the workplace environment, maintenance through observation and final transition to employment.


In attendance to launch the opening was Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports Yang Berhormat Major General (R) Dato Paduka Seri Haji Aminuddin Ihsan Pehin Orang Kaya Saiful Mulok Dato Seri Paduka Haji Abidin.
Also present were Chairman of An-Nur Harapan Pengiran Haji Salleh Ab Rahaman Pengiran Haji Damit, Member of the Board of Directors at An-Nur Harapan Pengiran Adrian Pengiran Haji Salleh Ab Rahaman along with the management and staff of the centre as well as invited guests.
