Baiduri Bank Group hosted its second annual Chinese New Year Open House for its clients and business associates in the Brunei-Muara district recently.
The event was held at the Indera Samudra Grand Hall of The Empire Hotel and Country Club as guests were welcomed into the vibrant venue by the bank’s management.
Decked in outstanding decor, the hall was lit with vibrant red lanterns where guests entered through two bridges specially customised for the celebration that symbolised prosperity and connection with a photo-op spot inspired by Chinese Temple architecture in between them.
Moreover, a calligraphy booth was also open to guests eager to attempt the art of painting Chinese characters for good luck.
During the event, Baiduri Bank Group presented donations to underprivileged students at four schools Chung Hwa Middle School, St Andrews School, St George’s School and Chung Hwa School, Kiudang.
On hand to present the donations was the bank’s Chief Executive Officer Pierre Imhof to the school representatives Loo She Yun and Kho Guik Lan of Chung Hwa Middle School, Kiudang and Chung Hwa Middle school respectively, Tan Lian Lian of St Andrews School and Jainidi Jingan of St George’s School.
Guests were entertained by performances featuring Wushu displays, dance numbers and a calligraphy presentation, as well as a performance of songs on Chinese traditional instruments on stage.
