Baiduri Bank Group obtains ISO 9001:2015 QMS certification

BAIDURI Bank has been awarded the ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System certification for its Operations Management Division (OMD) and Diversification and Strategic Development (DSD), marking another milestone for the local bank.

The certification which is issued by British Standard Institution (BSI) validates Baiduri Bank’s continuous efforts towards improving its quality standards and successfully implementing the best practices in line with the bank’s vision.

In his remarks during the certificate presentation ceremony held at the Radisson Hotel, the bank’s Chief Executive Officer Pierre Imhof said that achieving the certification is just the beginning of their journey towards the pursuit of excellence.

“We will uphold higher standards and best practices and strived to be the benchmark in our local industry,” he said.

Meanwhile, Deputy General Manager of OMD and DSD at Baiduri Bank Andrew Young said that acquiring the certification shows their commitment to a high level of quality services that they provide to their customers.

“This model is based on the total customer satisfaction concepts that we envisage. The three key principles which underpin our organisational development are models, frameworks and standards, and our model is designed to provide a 360 view of the customer service we are rendering,” said Young.

The departments that are now ISO 9001:2015 certified in quality management system are Global Payment Services, Group Electronic Banking and Trade Services, Group Credit Documentation Services, Operations Process and Service Management, Card Centre Operations, Property Department, Security Control Department, Business Continuity Planning Unit and Diversification and Strategic Development.

Present to hand over the certificate to Imhof was Head of Operations of BSI Malaysia Nicholas Cheong.

Also, in attendance to witness the event were Managing Director of Autoriti Monetari Brunei Darussalam Yusof Hj Abd Rahman, embassy and government officials, bank customers, lawyers and other bank service providers.
