
Baiduri Bank hosted a soiree last weekend to fete members of their media for their support and contributions towards the bank over the past 25 years.
Themed “We Grow Further Together” to pay homage to the bank’s 25th anniversary tagline, “We Go Further Together”, the media appreciation event was held at I-Lotus restaurant and saw more than 100 individuals dressed in botanical patterns and ensemble.
In his welcoming remarks, Chief Executive Officer of Baiduri Bank Ti Eng Hui thanked the media for their support throughout the years.

“It is with your support and reach, that we have been able to grow from strength to strength to become the leading conventional bank in Brunei today,” he said.
He added: “By disseminating positive and accurate information about the Baiduri Bank Group to the public, you have helped raise our profile in the industry and in the local community.”
He also said that one of the most significant powers the media has is being able to shape opinions and that the media plays a very important role in our society today.

The bank reached its 25-year mark in August and achieved several milestones this year which include the Memorandum of Understanding with DST to launch the e-Wallet; receiving the latest PCI-DSS V3.2.1 certification to maintain customer confidentiality and data protection; and Standard and Poor’s reaffirmation of the Bank’s credit rating to BBB+/A-2 with Stable Outlook in July, placing the institution among top banks in the region.
“The past 25 years have been truly inspiring and rewarding. We were motivated by the many success stories of our customers,” said Ti.
“We saw businesses and individuals turn dreams into reality. We embarked on this journey and became the largest conventional bank in Brunei today.”

Additionally, the bank has been awarded with three major recognitions namely; the Best Banking Group for Brunei from World Finance Magazine for the 11th consecutive year; the Domestic Retail Bank for Brunei from the Asian Banking and Finance Magazine for the 7th consecutive year; and the Best Bank in Asia-Pacific for Brunei from Global Finance Magazine for the 3rd time.
Throughout the event, attendees and the bank’s personnel participated in various activities and games using plants and floral arrangements.
The media also had a chance to win lucky draw prizes ranging from shopping vouchers, electrical appliances, holiday tickets and packages and the new Apple iPhone 11.
Also in attendance during the event were the Deputy CEO Pg Azaleen Pg Dato Paduka Hj Mustapha, Head of Group Corporate Communications Dorothy Newn and Head of Group Marketing Ng Yick Wei.
