JOHARI Hj Ahmad was crowned champion of the 23rd Baiduri Masters championship with a gross score of 73 by the end of the tournament.
This was announced at a prize presentation ceremony held at the ballroom in Hua Ho Manggis Mall recently, with the challenge trophy alongside a cash prize of $1,500 being presented to Johari by Baiduri Bank Chairperson Yang Amat Mulia Pengiran Muda Dr Abdul Fattah.
Runner-ups for the overall challenge include Hj Shahminan Hj Damit, Ak Md Syakir Pg Hj Ali, Ahmad Yani Hj Md Noor and Menuddin Daud, with scores 74, 75, 77 and 77 respectively during the tournament.
At the same time, winners and runner-ups for each contested categories including the Hole-in-One, Pace Setter and nearest-to-pin were also announced and presented with awards.

A total of 800 golfers participated in the tournament this year, allowing Baiduri to raise a total of $81,000; which was donated accordingly to six charity organisations namely; SMARTER Brunei, RIPAS Hospital Fund, Child Development Centre, Learning Ladders Society, Pusat Ehsan Al-Ameerah and the Children’s Cancer Foundation (YASKA).
