Members of the media recently had the chance to feel the performance and efficiency of the all-new Toyota Camry right behind is wheels.

The new-generation Camry comes with a bolder, sportier design, updated technologies and enhanced safety features.

It is the first Toyota branded sedan to make its way in the Sultanate with the Toyota New Global Architecture (TNGA) platform, which greatly improves both performance and appeal of the car.

The 2019 model shares the same underpinnings of the Lexus ES with the GA-K (Global Architecture-K) platform with a major makeover in terms of design and performance.

Aesthetically, the latest Camry looks nothing like its predecessor.

The mid-size sedan captivates with its “sensual smart” confidence, drawing heavily from the Lexus based on its polarising grille and noticeably sculpted shoulders, and swept-back headlights.

Buyers can choose from multiple colour options – silver, black, white, graphite, red and brown.

The designs inside the cabin are striking with its exquisite woodgrain moldings, the front panel is equipped with an 7-inch touchscreen system and the controls are can easily be accessed .

Moreover, the sedan promises better packaging with a long list of new features that includes wireless charging, a 9-speaker JBL Dolby audio system and cruise control.

The latest Camry provides ample space for headroom and legroom for both driver and passenger with seats that are contoured for comfort.

Power for the Camry comes from the 2.5-liter, four-cylinder engine found in the current model that generates 125kW/206 nhp at 6600 rpm with torque estimated at 235Nm at 4100 rpm.

The Camry offers a comfortable ride and its interior proved quiet throughout. The journey from Jerudong to Universiti Brunei Darussalam (UBD) was a smooth and controlled driving experience.

As for safety features, the Camry comes with highly-advanced Toyota Safety Sense package which consist of Pre-Collision System (PCS), Lane Departure Alert (LDA), Dynamic Radar Cruise Control and Automatic High Beam.
