Brunei will be hosting the 39th ASEAN Tourism Forum (ATF 2020) next year where discussions will be directed towards to future of travel industries among ASEAN members.

The forum which will be held at the Empire Hotel and Country Club will take place from January 12 to 16, bringing the theme “Together Towards a Next Generation of Travel.”

ATF is a cooperative regional effort to promote ASEAN as “one tourist destination” which involves all tourism stakeholders across the regional bloc.

Besides official meetings, the ATF also provides a platform for the selling and buying of regional and individual tourism products by tourism industry places across the region – via the three-day Travel Exhibition (TRAVEX).

The unique and specialised ATF TRAVEX makes it easy and convenient for suppliers of ASEAN tourism products and services and international buyers to conduct business and meet quality participants through pre-scheduled business appointments that take place on-site.

Both parties can maximise their participation through flexible one-to-one pre-scheduled meetings to explore, negotiate and ink deals with each other.

While official meetings are to be held from January 12 to 16, TRAVEX will commence from January 14 until the end of the forum.  This will then be followed by a Post ATF Tours from January 17 to 18.

The ATF 2020 is projected to receive 1,6000 delegates consisting Ministers, officials, exhibitors, buyers and members of the media.
