Brunei Shell Marketing (BSM) has introduced two new fuel variants into the Brunei market, Shell V-Power Gasoline and Shell V-Power Diesel.

The premium fuels which are designed for improved engine performance and efficiency will be available at selected stations nationwide by February 16, priced at 82 cents per litre.

The product launch ceremony was graced by His Royal Highness Crown Prince Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah, Senior Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office in his capacity as Chairman of BSM Board of Directors.

In his opening remarks, BSM Managing Director Muhammad Norshafiee Dato Paduka Haji Abdul Jalil said that the Shell V-Power will not be replacing any of the existing fuel products.

“It has been 20 years since a new fuel was introduced in Brunei. The addition offers more choices to our customers; for those who want more performance, efficiency and protection for their engines as well as maximising their car’s potential,” he said.

He further said that prices of the V-Power will be reviewed regularly to ensure they remain competitive regionally once the fuels are on sale this Sunday.

Current fuels; Shell Premium, Shell Super, Shell Regular and Shell Diesel, will continue to be available for customers with prices remain unchanged.

“This is just the start for us in BSM. The team is exploring ways to innovate our business and enhance our customer’s experience,” he said, adding that the company will also be introducing the Shell Helix Power lubricant to complement the new fuels.

BSM is also looking into offering alternative energy solutions such as EV charging and bringing customised non-fuel products while leveraging on digitalisation, all geared towards offering customers’ convenience.

The Shell V-Power, the managing director added, is a result of extensive research and development between Shell and Ferrari, tested over three million kilometres in varying road conditions on over 250 different cars.

“Shell has always been at the forefront of fuel innovations by staying ahead of our customers’ changing needs with scientists who work hard to formulate next-generation fuels,” he said.

Shell V-Power helps cleanse away dirt deposits and is formulated with a friction-reducing ingredient.

The fuel is generally compatible with any vehicle. However, customers may need to consult their car dealer to check if the fuel specifications meet their engine requirements.

The V-Power Gasoline will be available at 14 retail stations while the V-Power Diesel will be only at seven stations.

Some of the filling stations that supply the fuels include Gadong, TAIB Beribi, Tumasek, IBA, KOPEKLAP, Roxana and Koperasi Peladang, among others.

BSM will be having roadshows with the aim of pre-selling Shell V-Power fuel vouchers and from now until June 30, with every purchase of the fuel, customers will stand a chance to win a Porsche Macan S.
