Brunei Shell Petroleum Company (BSP) has built a new gas production facility in Rasau, which is capable of producing up to 2 million m3 of gas daily.

The facility which was completed three months ahead of its time under the firm’s Darat Gas Project is a significant milestone that gives BSP more opportunities to explore other untapped oil and gas sites onshore.

The natural produces excavated from the project site will be piped down to the AMPA09 offshore processing platform before being exported to the Brunei LNG Plant in Lumut.

The new asset is also expected to supply about 5 percent of Brunei LNG’s feedstock in the coming years.
