Local firms are encouraged to network with the foreign businesses featured in the upcoming TechXpo, which will run from August 29 to September 1 at Bridex, Jerudong.
Organisers D’Sunlit and Infocom Federation Brunei (IFB) shared that the upcoming expo will showcase tech companies across China, Hong Kong, Mongolia, Taiwan and Malaysia who are looking for tech-transfers and joint ventures with Bruneian companies.
Among these firms include Huawei, who is expected to showcase its 5G prowess throughout the four-day exhibition.
D’Sunlit’s Sales Manager Mike Chia who facilitated the participation of these companies shared that most of them holds the interest of striking partnerships with local companies, with several of them slated to come and share their tech-knowledge to Brunei.
“All of them are keen on assisting the locals to look into technology and related developments,” he said, adding that he prefer to keep further details a surprise to those coming to the TechXpo later this month.
He however shared that there will be over 134 vendors showcased this year, with IFB President Sheikh Hj Abas Sheikh Mohamad adding that there will also be a diverse range of technological fields displayed throughout the event.
Besides humanoid robots, Sheikh Abas said that there will also be automotive companies showcasing the latest car trends and technologies; there will also be 3D printing machine distributors for Bruneian companies to partner with.
“Besides all that, several vendors will be selling quality gadgets at budget price; and there is also a grand draw that gives everyone a chance to win fabulous prices,” he said.
“Ultimately, like any other expo in the world, we definitely want to bring to you the latest technologies that are up for grabs; and as for businesses, we expect them to take this as an opportunity to network and discuss possible partnerships with other participants,” he added.
A signing ceremony was held recently between the organisers and event partners which include Brunei Press, Mixmediaworx, Bank Islam Brunei Darussalam, Royal Brunei Airlines, DST, Kristal FM, Telekom Brunei Berhad (Telbru) and Oregon Systems.
