Caffe x Youth gives spotlight on creative youths; to be held annually

Organisers of the recent Caffe x Youth event has expressed interest in holding a second instalment of the fair following its first successful run last week.

The two-day event that featured arts, photography, entrepreneurship and sports received a positive reception from youth and members of the public, said Wan Yuri Wajihah, the public relations officer of Kaleidoscope Studio, one of the organisers of Caffe x Youth.

“About 500 people came throughout the festival. Alhamdulillah, the response was overwhelming and we received positive feedback from the public.

“Some were looking forward for the next Caffe x Youth,” she added.

Some of the activities conducted at the event that was held at Taman Budiman Skatepark included pallet painting, graffiti art, polaroid photography, coffee art, skateboarding and a six-kilometre NRF Fun Run and Cycle.

Wan Yuri said through the event, the organising committee met its objectives in creating a platform for the youth to enhance their talent in the creative industry.

“Overall, it was a very exciting festival by the youth for the youth and we are looking forward to collaborate with more Bruneian young talents to help elevate and realise their passions.”

Sharing the same sentiment, Caffe Bene Area Franchisee for Brunei Mohammad Zulkifli Morshidi said the participation of youth managing the activities were encouraging and helped achieved their objective to help the youth showcase their talents and businesses.

“We will definitely make it an annual event to coincide with National Youth Day,” he said, adding that they will be adding more activities to help drive more traffic.

The event was co-organised by Kaleidoscope Studio, Caffe Bene and Uneek Skateshop, and is supported by MMW, DST, Kristal FM, Redbull, Cuckoo, Rose Photo Studio and Oblimag.
