Centre for Islamic Banking, Finance and Management (CIBFM) have been officially recognised as a test centre for all courses under UK’s Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment (CISI), following a recent agreement signed.
CISI is an institution that offers professional qualifications in various fields including securities, investment, Islamic finance, risk management and capital markets.
The institute which was formed by London Stock Exchange practitioners in 1992 is a global community of approximately 45,000 members in 104 countries. More than 40,000 of its exams were sat in 80 countries last year.
With the agreement, members of the public can now enroll and sat for CISI exams at CIBFM’s office in the ILIA Building at the Universiti Brunei Darussalam Campus.
The first examination is slated for November 16.
CIBFM in a statement said it hoped to further developed financial industry players and those interest in self-development by providing examinations and tests that meet international benchmark at a more accessible venue.
