Creative Space Art Gallery & Studio (Creative Space) is back with its seventh EMERGE exhibition – featuring artworks by 13 talented local artists tackling various kinds of stereotypes in the community.

The latest showcase was meant to understand existing societal boundaries in the sultanate, to see where they stem from and how they apply in the daily life of a Bruneian.

Some of the artists will also be around to explain their art pieces to visitors and help understand issues and unique stories they wanted to deliver through their arts.

EMERGE is an initiative by Creative Space to aspire young and emerging artists to further develop their talents.  It is also a platform for them to showcase their artworks and grow their networks.

The latest showcase is available for public viewing until May 5.

Exploring deeper into the subject, a panel discussion called “Breaking Boundaries” will also be held at the gallery on April 28, 2pm to 5pm.  The speakers consist local creatives discussing about labels and stereotypes.

Members of the public are welcomed to join the discussion.
