Cuckoo Brunei aims for 10,000 customers by year end

Cuckoo Brunei celebrated its two-year anniversary with a milestone of 8,000 customers this month, solidifying the Korean consumer home appliance brand as a household name in the sultanate.

Heading into its second year, Cuckoo Brunei achieved 8,000 customers this month and set a new records in sales, said its Managing Director, Wong Kim Guan, during the company’s second anniversary dinner at Tarindak D’Seni last night.

“This year, Cuckoo Brunei aims to accumulate 10,000 in Cuckoo user acquisition,” he added.

Since 2016, Guan said, Cuckoo has achieved a number of significant milestones, including becoming the fastest growing company in home appliances in Brunei with 10 stores nationwide.

Looking to the future, Cuckoo Brunei is targetting 22 per cent market share in Brunei households by 2019.

The company also announced last night that it would be donating $100,000 worth of Cuckoo water purifiers to charity through its Cuckoo Care Foundation.

Through this initiative, the firm said it hopes to provide the community access to clean, and safe drinking water.

The foundation will lend greater focus to the company’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) efforts and programmes to promote active volunteerism through campaigns and activities.

During the event, Cuckoo Brunei also launched two new home appliance products – K-Top Water Purifier and Q10 Multi Pressure Cooker – to mark its two-year anniversary.

The K-Top Water Purifier is a water purifier with four filters, six-stage filtration system and an antibacterial stainless-steel water tank.

The Q10 Multi Pressure Cooker is an advance multi-pressure cookers with nine cooking modes.

Both products will hit store shelves by the end of 2018.
