The event started with a speech by Managing Director of Cuckoo Brunei, Wong Kim Guan who shared that the company is committed to maintain and improve its after sales service to meet the satisfaction of its customers.

“My colleagues, our cuckoo employees, because of your determination and belief towards the company’s direction and vision, not only did we fulfill our promise to our customers but we now have 16,000 customers,” said Wong.

“In January this year, we announced our target of 20,000 customers by the end of the year. [As] we are now at 16,000, we are not behind, but we are where we need to be,” he added.

As of May 2019 this year, the company reached another milestone – achieving 1000 customers in a month.

“[This], I believe, is a first in the industry of water purifiers,” said Wong, adding that the company will continue to prioritise existing and prospective customers.

He added that Cuckoo Brunei pledges to continue giving back to the community through various initiatives such as donations while simultaneously creating career opportunities for locals.

As part of their CSR, the company has created over 100 career opportunities for Bruneians.

“We will continue to meet our objectives for providing a platform for our local employees to have the opportunity to grow, develop and succeed with Cuckoo,” said Wong.

To give back to the community even futher, Cuckoo Brunei has created a ‘Rent-To-Own’ plan which allows customers to choose a certain amount and duration they are able to commit to.

“We believe the core reason is that consumers love the flexibility of a monthly budget to enjoy clean and healthy water.”

“With a goal of creating a healthy home, Cuckoo allows families to enjoy Mild-Alkaline water purifiers from as low as $35 a month,” added Wong.

The event proceeded with the celebration of 20 staff members for their achievements, contributions and outstanding performances in the company.

To make customer experience even better, Cuckoo Brunei officially launched their Cuckoo Experience Centre (CEC) initiative for customers to have a glimpse of Cuckoo products in a home environment.

The centres are located in two housing areas: Kg Mata-Mata and Kg Sungai Tilong.

The event concluded with a look back at Cuckoo’s Care Foundation which was launched in September last year.

Since its inception, the foundation has donated over a dozen water purifiers to local communities such as mosques, non-government organisations and educational institutions.

“The donations are part of the foundation’s long-term global initiative that aims to provide communities with convenient access to clean and safe drinking water,” read a statement.
