Bank Islam Brunei Darussalam (BIBD) recently launched a learning centre aimed to prepare its Advocating Life-long Learning for an Aspiring Future (ALAF) students against challenges in the digital age.
The centre dubbed “BIBD ALAF Digital Hub” is a hands-on space to develop students digital creativity and learning using latest technological advancements, innovations and experiments.
The new hub which is located at Level 9 of PGGMB building in the capital allows students to learn basic office application softwares, designing programmes and website development platforms.
BIBD Deputy Managing Director Hjh Noraini Hj Sulaiman during the launch recently said that the learning centre aimed to develop and prepare ALAF students to be digitally innovative and globally competitive.
Moreover, BIBD ALAF Digital Hub will be hosting several projects for students to learn IT development systems including Micro:Bit, a hand-held fully programmable computer capable of teaching basic coding to students.
The bank in a statement also pledged to continue working with established global IT companies to ensure all of its ALAF students can access to the latest technologies, and learn them.
