If you miss going to Gerai Ramadhan, you are in for a treat, thanks to the country’s first ride-hailing service, Dart Logistics.
The transport app company is partnering with vendors and restaurants to revive Brunei’s favourite Ramadhan pastime via its latest mobile app dubbed ‘Gerai Ramadhan’.
Dart’s Sales and Marketing Officer, Muhammad Adib Hj Mahamud explained that the initiative will be carried out through the app, keeping the traditions alive amidst the current situation.
The app which launches today for both iOS and Android smartphones will digitise Ramadhan food bazaars by bringing classic Ramadhan signature dishes to customers through deliveries around Brunei.
“Customers can place their orders through the app one day in advance and Dart will deliver to their doorsteps the following day, in time for sungkai,” said the sales and marketing officer.
The food comprises of local favourites including beef and chicken burger, roti john, fried rice, porridge, fried noodles, kuih malaya and shepherd’s pie.
According to Muhammad Adib, orders will be prepared fresh daily by local vendors in a five-star kitchen restaurant and are Halal-certified with high-quality assurance measures.
“With the social distancing measures put in place, food and delivery services have flourished reflecting the exponential growth of demands in the market for a bridge connecting consumers and the food and beverage industry.”
Hence, Dart made the swift move to expand to providing food delivery services nationwide, making the company one of the largest delivery service providers in Brunei with more than 200 drivers and counting.
