Datastream Digital (DST) concluded its annual DST Carnival on a high note last weekend held at Bridex Hall 2 in Jerudong, featuring the biggest e-sports gaming tournament in Brunei.

The three-day digital carnival saw more than 200 participants competing in the gaming event that was jointly organised by E-Sports Association Brunei and the telco.

Players competed in five games namely; FIFA 2020, Tekken 7, PUBG Mobile, Mobile Legends and CS: GO and vied The Carnival Cup that entailed a Prize Pool of $15,000.

Goodfellas Gaming brought home $2,000 cash prize for scoring top place in CS:GO while its counterpart won first place in Mobile Legends, bringing home $1,250.

Woish eSport, on the other hand, triumphed in PUBG Mobile and scored a cash prize of $1,250.

Meanwhile, the champion of Tekken 7 went to Extreme Hafiy and FIFA 2020 tournament saw Adib Sazali as the top scorer with each winner claiming $800.

Furthermore, the telco also offered exclusive and attractive products and services at its DST Pavilion where visitors could purchase a SIM pack at $10 with a minimum of $20 recharge card for the first activation.

This included the rebranded postpaid service Mobi where new Mobi30 or Mobi50 subscribers will get a free Samsung or Oppo smartphones and newly introduced Fibre service, Infinity.

Various rewards and prizes were up for grabs through the carnival’s Lucky Draw questionnaire.

During the event, the authorised distributor for Samsung, DSTIncomm also held a prize presentation ceremony for their Samsung Extravaganza Grand Prize Draw to the top five lucky winners.

Dato Paduka Abd Razak Hj Muhammad took home the main prize; a return trip for two to Brisbane and $1,000 cash.  

Meanwhile, the remaining winners each walked away with a Samsung Galaxy Series and Samsung Galaxy S Series mobile phones.

The prizes were handed by DST CEO Radin Sufri Radin Basiuni to customers who had signed up for the Prima Samsung Contract plan or purchased any Samsung devices from DSTIncomm prior to the carnival.

Apart from that, visitors also get to enjoy live performances from local artists Kip Hafizuddin, Ezah Hashim and FN Duo including a Comedy Night that featured local stand-up comedians from BruHaha namely Najib, Tibby, Aiman and Loh.

Free carnival games were available through the event such as Balloon Blaster, Football Tyre Toss, The Rolling Tyre and Goblet Ball Toss.

Various merchants were also on-site promoting and selling their products including food, clothing items and accessories.
