DST recently treated teachers at Maktab Sains Paduka Seri Begawan Sultan College (MSPSBS) in a celebration, honouring the educators’ dedication and commitment.

The college ranked as the top school as voted by the public along with 14 other schools during the telco’s “Vote Your School – Teachers Day Instagram Campaign” that aimed at rewarding teachers.

The three-day campaign which took place from September 21 – 24 saw an overwhelming number of votes received for schools across the sultanate.

Acting CEO of DST Radin Sufri Radin Basiuni in his opening speech said that what we are today is because of teachers and that they play an important role in everyone’s lives.

“The true essence of celebrating Teacher’s Day is to show our utmost appreciation and to celebrate teachers by giving them a treat at their school,” he said.

On her part, the college’s principal Susilawati Dato Paduka Hj Muhammad highlighted the vital role of teachers in educating children.

In her speech, she extended her appreciation and gratitude towards the students and members of the public for voting MSPSBS as the top school as well as DST for the kind gesture.

More than 100 teachers from MSPSBS attended the event as they enjoyed a variety of a scrumptious buffet from a wide range of sushi to Fratini’s pizza and pasta, accompanied by exciting games and activities.

Some also took home lucky draw prizes which included Samsung Smartphone devices.

DST is set to visit the remaining schools which are; Chung Hwa Middle School, BSB, Sekolah Tinggi Perempuan Raja Isteri (STPRI), St Andrew’s School, Sengkurong Sixth Form Centre, Sayyidina Hasan Secondary School, Sultan Sharif Ali Secondary School, Sekolah Ugama Arab Menengah Perempuan Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Hjh Saleha, PJN Pg Hj Abu Bakar Secondary School, Tanjong Maya Secondary School, St Angela’s School, Seri Mulia Sarjana School, Stella School, Al-Falaah School Sg Akar and Dato Ratna Hj Mohd Jaafar Primary School.
