Authority for Info-communications Technology Industry of Brunei Darussalam (AITI) and Darussalam Enterprise (DARe) launched the online directory portal eKadaiBrunei yesterday.
The initiative links e-commerce platforms, delivery and logistics service providers and the One Kampung One Product (1K1P) with consumers, providing convenient purchase of various necessities online.
The portal allows Brunei-based Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) to look for e-commerce platforms who can host their products and services online as an alternative channel to reach out to their customers, said AITI and DARe in a statement.
Currently, there more than 20 businesses and service providers listed with the online directory that can accommodate a high volume of vendor registrations and are readily integrated with online payment capabilities and delivery services.
The agencies include Heydomo, GoMamam, KadaiRuncit, Weelago, Go Rush, Brunei Delivery Services, Dart and Department of Postal Services, among others.
Local MSMEs are encouraged to join the e-commerce platforms with eKadaiBrunei portal and to perform their own due diligence before deciding which platforms would best suit their businesses.
The project was initially announced by Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office and Minister of Finance and Economy II by YB Dato Seri Setia Dr Haji Mohd Amin Liew Abdullah in a recent press conference and it is a collaboration between Ministry of Transport and Infocommunication, Ministry of Home Affairs, AITI and DARe.
Additionally, AITI and DARe would like to reach out to other eCommerce platforms and delivery services that have the scalability and end-to-end solutions to cater to local MSMEs’ needs to register on the eKadaiBrunei portal.
For further business support and inquiries, MSMEs can get in touch with DARe at +673 836 3442 / +673 238 4830 or email to firstname.lastname@example.org or AITI at +673 232 3232 or email at eKadaiBrunei@aiti.gov.bn – Analisa Amu
