Standard Chartered Bank (SC) recently treated more than 200 of its clients to the private viewing of the all-new Mercedes-Benz models – A-Class Sedan and CLA Coupe.
During the launch at the Mercedes-Benz Autohaus, the CLA Coupe stunned the crowd with its bold yellow figure – it is larger, wider and lower in size with a more pronounced rear compared to the A-Class.
The models caught guests’ attention with their striking resemblance and elegant profiles; although the CLA has a sportier and aggressive design of the two, whereas the A-Class has a more generic yet evocative look.
On the outside, the noticeable differences would be in the headlights. The CLA Coupe has slightly larger and triangular-shaped headlights compared to the sedan, giving the CLA a more distinctive look.
Furthermore, the A-Class has its own unique design compared to other Mercedes models.
The four-door sedan has an obvious beltline strip that runs from the front headlight to the tail light compared to the exterior of the CLA Coupe that is almost entirely smooth.
Another distinctive feature of the coupe is that it has a more aggressive hood compared to the otherwise flat hood of the A-Class.
The A-Class is seen more of a practical sedan whereas the CLA is more dramatic in flair and design, attracting a younger audience compared to the latter.
Meanwhile, on the inside, both cars share the same cabin architecture.
Its interior boasts the same superb quality you would expect from a Mercedes – Benz which includes a large widescreen cockpit, dual-layer dashboard, and new-generation multi-functional steering wheel.
Although, when viewing the inside of both sedans, the only unmatched difference the CLA has to the A-Class is its frameless doors.
As you should expect from the German automaker, the A-Class and CLA Coupe comes with premium-feel materials throughout the cabin such as synthetic leather upholstery, metal-effect trim pieces, and a Nappa leather steering wheel
Both models provide the driver and passenger ample space for headroom and legroom.
All in all, both cars also offer a cutting-edge infotainment system and advanced safety features such as the Mercedes-Benz User Experience (MBUX) infotainment system, Burmester Surround Sound System, massaging seats, and 64-colour ambient lighting, among others.
