Concepts Computer recently unveiled its first Gaming Experience Centre in its main office in Kiulap, which is free to be used by the public.
The new facility which offered up to ten gaming stations aimed to help grow positive perception towards gaming and increase the status of E-sports in the country.
Its opening was also in line with the government’s call to increase local participation in professional gaming competitions, especially when E-sports is included as a category in the upcoming SEA Games in the Philippines this year.
Concepts Computer General Manager Vincent Pao said his company had always advocated the growth of the country’s IT industry.
“This is why we are taking a big step to help nurture the fledging Bruneian E-sports scene, because its growth is a highlighted issue for Brunei,” he said.
“For parents who are looking to unlock their children’s potential in E-sports, they do not have to worry about the cost of PC gaming which can be costly, because Concepts is now offering the chance for free,” he added.
Additionally, Marketing Executive Zul Abdul Rahman said that the free Gaming Experience Centre may be opened through the whole year, and “maybe well into 2020”.
The free Gaming Experience Centre will be available for the public from 9am to 9pm. Both individual and team gamers are welcomed.
