Llaollao, pronounced as “yao yao”, originates from Dénia, Spain, with over 250 branches worldwide. It is one of the popular brands to introduce healthier and guilt-free frozen yoghurt.

The store which is located at The Mall, Gadong has already received an overwhelming reception from Bruneian customers, waiting in queues, just a few days after its opening.

In an interview with The Bruneian, Director and Manager of Llaollao Brunei noted that frozen yoghurt has long been around but it is slowly making a come back in South East Asia this year, adding that the appeal of frozen yoghurt has grown popular because it is considered as a healthier option.

When the director was travelling in Malaysia, he was impressed by the natural taste and quality of the frozen yoghurt and decided to bring the franchise into Brunei.

“I have tried out many frozen yoghurts but the taste of Llaollao never left my mind. The sourness from the yoghurt and the sweetness from the milk gives it a very complete and distinct flavour,” he shared.

Llaollao’s frozen yoghurt are made from skimmed milk, giving it that extra creamy delicious texture. It is also less cold and melts much more slowly than ice cream.

“Everything in the store from the green spoon to the toppings are all imported from Spain. We want to guarantee quality and also for our customers to enjoy its original taste and experience,” he added.

Gadong is a prime centre in the sultanate and a highly popular destination for shoppers, it would be the perfect location for the newly-opened franchise, said the co-owner of Llaollao Brunei.

Customers can choose to have their frozen yoghurt in three different tubs; small, medium or large.

The small tub comes with only one topping while the medium and large tubs come with three choices of toppings.

One of the most popular and highly recommended choices in the menu is their Sanum, a yoghurt parfait with layers of fresh fruits and crunchy toppings sandwiched in thick creamy frozen yoghurt and generously drizzled in sauces of your choice. Definitely worth the price.
