Ghanim International Corporation recently opened its first Bruneihalalfoods store at the Brunei International Airport, hoping to expand its coverage in the segment for tourists and travelers.

The storefront located in the departure area of the airport will be operated under a partnership between Ghanim International and local firm Syarikat Hj Bungsu bin Kamit & Anak-Anak.

Ghanim International decided to open up the new store following the success of its two kiosks, which were opened at the Ministry of Finance and Economy in 2018, and in the Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Saleha (RIPAS) Hospital this year.

Aiming to capture a share in the tourism segment, Ghanim International has designed the new store to revolve around the brand’s iconic colors and prints, with staff ready at hand to provide a unique branding and retail experience.

Additionally, the store is also offering a package that will enable tourists and travelers pack their purchases and have included into their cargo loads.

Ghanim International’s CEO Dr Nur Rahman in his remark said: “In late 2015, we set out with the insurmountable ambition to be an iconic Halal brand that excels through innovation and virtue. We have worked tirelessly to develop unique and innovative products in partnership with local businesses as we aspire to support the government to diversify the economy of Brunei and increase exports of our local products.”

“We now have over 60 stock keeping units (SKUs) in over 15 product ranges in our portfolio, with a number of others launching this year. Behind us is a strong network across Brunei and the international market such as China, Singapore, Malaysia, Japan and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) where we continue to grow export and potential opportunities through various channels. Additionally, passengers on Royal Brunei Airlines are enjoying our specialty products on board.”

The airport, he said, “is a strategic decision” for his firm as it looks to introduce Brunei products to tourists.

“By promoting bruneihalalfoods, we are promoting the hidden treasure to the world,” he added.

Launching the new store alongside the CEO was Syarikat Hj Bungsu bin Kamit & Anak-Anak’s Administration Officer Hj Cosnawaty Hj Jaman.

The store is open from 6.30am until the last flight of the day.
