Homestage Realty, a local real estate firm, is keen to serve its clients better with the opening of its new office, promising to continue making clients’ dreams into reality – finding the right home.

With more than 10 years of experience in realty, the company’s general manager Kevin Lee said that the majority of their clients prefer two-storey detached houses.

“They are mostly first time home buyers whose age range is between 28 and 35 years old. The location of the property they choose depends on what they need and one of the reasons is the nearness to their workplace or family,” he said.

He added: “Taking for example Jerudong. It is perfect for those who are working outside of Brunei – Muara district as it is nearer to the highway which is convenient for their daily commute.”

Homestage Realty has more than 100 listings with affordable and top-notch residential properties nationwide in areas such as Lambak, Kilanas, Mulaut and Subok, among others.

Talking about clients’ preference for detached houses, Lee said that homeowners look for spacious compound at the property as it is needed to host family functions.

The firm has helped more than 300 homeowners in Brunei over the last four years and received many referral clients from existing customers.

“We hold the motto ‘Making Dreams into Reality’ because we stay by our clients’ side in every step of the process until they have the house keys in their hands,” said Lee, adding that the firm’s consultants only meet two clients per day.

Before deciding on a house, Lee added, a property consultant at Homestage would normally ask for a client’s entitlement and help them find a property at their desired area with a price that is within their budget.

For Lee, fostering good relations with customers is vital as it brings ease to doing business with them.

“We articulate more on the buying process from discussing on their loan, any hidden costs, prepare lawyer’s document, piling stage to the arrangement tiang sari blessing. We make sure that the blessing is done before the footing started,” he said.

Most of Homestage’s customers look for houses that are priced at $300,000 and below, an affordable figure for an ideal four-bedroom and three-bathroom detached house.

Furthermore, the new office is now located at a newly developed area on Jalan Babu Raja in Kiarong, consisting of two meeting rooms, a staff area and a lounge that fits five staff.

Lee started the company with the aim of helping clients to find the right house as he realised that many home buyers in Brunei do not know where to start.
