Moving into a new home can both be an exciting and nerve-wrecking experience especially when it comes to decorating, where you would have to ask yourself over and over again how best can you make a space look at its prime while also reflecting your sense of style.

You definitely want your home to be chic and classy, but you also want your home to be full ‘you’ – and that might just be one of the hardest feats to achieve if you don’t plan on consulting professional interior designers.

But if there is a chance for you to go out and look for a proper designer, someone who could build your decors right from the scratch, then consider Idaman Design works Sdn Bhd – a locally-owned décor-making firm established last year to better service the niche for personalised interiors for homes.

Credible craftsmanship, affordable solution

Idaman Designworks sourced its items directly and solely from a factory in China, which practised precision and detail-oriented values for goods production, which is clearly seen through its commitment in maintaining its ISO certification on a yearly basis.

The company has full control of the customization process to suit the homeowner’s requirement, with its manufacturing partner having an accredited experience in the industry. This was also demonstrated through the accolades it received throughout the years.

All goods produced through the factory will have to undergo a strict, internationally recognised quality assurance system before being passed for distribution.

The factory also took into account the environmental factors needed to be addressed to ensure that goods produced are of the highest quality.

Flexible customisation

Another thing that sets Idaman Design works apart from the rest of its competition is its capability to access and reproduce latest designs and trends – with a number of sustainable materials and solutions readily prepared for the customers.

These include several finishes for double doors, Single doors, Sliding doors and folding doors from various types of wood, aluminium and Stainless steel.

For added benefit to customers, all furniture and fixture come with free professional installation, warranty and after-sales support.
“Idaman Design works understands the importance of a home as it is a big investment. We provide our clients with warranty and after-sales support for our product range – to give them peace of mind,” company owner Fakhri Bakhtiar told The Bruneian.

What customers need to do is to come to Idaman Design works’ showroom in Gadong Properties for consultation.

“A free consultation is set up with our design team to go through all of the materials that we have and outline their requirements if the client is interested we will then proceed with a 3D drawing,” Fakhri said.

“If they’re happy with our proposal then we proceed with a deposit to initiate the manufacturing process in the factory and have it delivered to their home for installation,” he added.

Growing a brand

Setting itself up in the market was just the first step; what Idaman Design works looks to achieve is to establish itself as one of the stronger brands in Brunei, particularly in the niche for personalised decors.

“There are quite a number of people wanting to redesign their rooms and kitchens, as they were all initially built upon low-cost designs and materials. When designing for clients, we ensure that our materials are both durable and of quality, we want it to be a good value-for-money for our customers,” Fakhri said.

“Our long-term plan is to grow IDW into a trusted local brand with a global reach and allow home-owners in Brunei access to the latest modern design at a value for money price without sacrificing quality.”
