Insurans Islam TAIB General Takaful (IITGT) has launched its iCARe mobile application, making requests for roadside assistance faster and more convenient for its customers.
Executive Officer at Bengkel Kereta Berakas Hj Mohd Fua’ad Hj Zaini said the app which has been in development for more than a year aims to streamline roadside assistance by digitising the process of requesting service for consumers through a real-time location.

Through the mobile app which is available on both Android and Apple iOS platforms, customers can send requests for help online by entering their vehicle details, contact number, location and details of the incident.
It is not just convenient for users but it is also easier for the response team to track customer’s location via GPS tracking and address customer’s needs right away so as to minimise waiting time.

“The idea for the app came about due to consumers’ demand and the desire to provide customers with more convenient service and better communication,” he said.
During the app demonstration, Hj Mohd Fua’ad added that customers are also able to upload photos of their location on the app.
Some of the services featured in the app include flat battery, emergency fuel, flat tyres, lost or locked keys, vehicle transport and alternative transport.

Furthermore, customers who register for the service will receive a specific secure login QR code for users’ access to the app.
The application was officially launched by Acting Assistant Managing Director of Insurans TAIB Holdings Hj Abd Majid Hj Hidup at iCARe Centre.
