The Institution of Mechanical Engineers (IMechE) Brunei Group recently hosted a talk on understanding the Fourth Industrial Revolution (IR4.0) and see how Brunei can best prepare itself to face the phenomenon.

The one-day session held under a collaboration with Universiti Teknologi Brunei (UTB) took emphasis on the use of digital technology to welcome IR4.0, with Malaysia’s Robot Industry Association (MIRA) President Dr Tan Chee Fai invited to lead the discussion.

Key points during the talk revolved around understanding technology models developed in Malaysia and China to welcome IR4.0 and to see it Brunei has the necessary budget to push for any related initiatives.
