Indera Motors teamed up with Persatuan Kereta Tahan Lasak Brunei (PKTLB) and Society for Community Outreach and Training (SCOT) recently to distribute food supply and school necessities to some underprivileged families and students in the remote area of Mukim Sukang, Belait.
For the residents of Sukang, the nearest sundry store takes about 90 minutes for one-way travel. Moreover, the area is only accessible safely by a 4×4 vehicle.
The autodealer’s staff alongside members of PKTLB and SCOT accessed the remote location of Sukang with the Land Rover Defender and Discovery, two vehicles that are built for off-roading and traversing difficult terrains.
The Ramadhan donation was presented by General Manager of Indera Motors, Alfred Yong and Sales Manager of Indera Motors Zen Thea to the president of PKLTB.
Moreover, the company’s participation in the charity drive is part of their Corporate Social Responsibility mission, where it aims to deliver lasting, positive impacts for society by tackling issues pertinent to the communities in which it operates, including improving the wellbeing of disadvantaged communities. – Azrina Zin
