Indera Motors recently sponsored and prepared 250 iftar meals for the socio-economically disadvantaged communities and foreign workers with Society for Community Outreach & Training (SCOT).
The autodealer’s participation was to support the non-governmental organisation’s Social Kitchen initiative to prepare 5,000 meals during the fasting month of Ramadhan.
The project aimed to provide entrepreneurial opportunities for socio-economically disadvantaged families, especially single mothers, to sell their home-cooked meals to cater for the events and donations of meals.
Apart from the financial donations, Indera Motors also volunteered to assist mothers in the cooking preparations, meal packing and delivery of meals to less fortunate families.
Following their Ramadhan Charity Drive to Sukang in Belait and Long Mayan in Tutong, the Jaguar and Landrover distributor’s sponsorship for Social Kitchen is part of its corporate social responsibility mission to deliver lasting, positive impacts for communities in which it operates.
