If you’re looking for some happenings this month, check out the ‘Karnival Hari Keputeraan’ which will be featuring an official ‘Battle of the Bands’ and other fun events.
The carnival which will be running from July 20 to 21 will be held at both Youth Centre at the capital and the Games Village at the Hassanal Bolkiah National Sports Complex in Berakas. It is hosted under a partnership between local event Excel Event Planning & Administrative Services and the Department of Youth and Sports.
Besides ‘Battle of the Bands’, the festivities will also include a contest to find the strongest man and woman in Brunei, a street soccer tournament, football juggling challenge and a variety of traditional games for people to indulge in.
Both of these events will also be involving local SMEs, as its core objectives was also to celebrate entrepreneurship and foster youth mindsets to be more agile in adapting business skills and knowledge.
Through the carnival, the firm hoped to foster more future collaboration between local businesses and other government agencies, especially in providing more platforms for local talents to gather and help develop Brunei’s entertainment scene.
Excel event Planning & Administrative Services is a start-up business specialising in event handling and provide wide range of administrative services.
