Katik, an online platform that delivers on-demand services to clients’ locations, is calling all beauty and wellness talents to attend its open day this weekend.
The one-day event is set to take place on June 27 at the Youth Development Centre in Tanah Jambu with the aim to provide more income opportunities to the local community.
The newly-launched platform which concept is similar to existing ride-hailing services is looking to have more beauty and wellness talents to join its freelancing community of Katik service providers.
In a statement, Katik said that locals and permanent residents are eligible to apply as their service providers.
“Potential talents of interest include, but are not limited to, make-up, henna, manicure, massage, post-natal treatment, cupping therapy (bekam) and facial,” it said.
Prospective beauty service providers are invited to attend a briefing at the Open Day at 10am while prospective wellness service providers at 2pm.
Other related talents in the beauty and wellness industry are also welcome to attend the open day and apply to Katik.
The initiative which was previously known as Ruma-ke-Ruma, has won a $5000 grant from Standard Chartered Brunei in the culmination of the fourth Society for Community Outreach and Training’s (SCOT) Youth Against Poverty (YAP) programme in November 2019.
