BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN
Local e-commerce site KadaiRuncit recently signed Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) with five companies, hoping to expand its offerings and bundle them up with a charity package to conjunct with the upcoming Ramadhan.
The charity package leveraged on the trend of customers using their website to donate products to mosques and underprivileged families.
Founder Aizuddin Fakhri Hj Mohd Nasar said the packaged was an initiative developed by his customers.
“We created this package to cater to those who want to give back to the community,” he said.
Among the five companies signing instruments with KadaiRuncit include Bruneihalalfoods, Sabli Food Industries, Society for Community Outreach & Training (SCOT), Sharqiaa Hijab Brunei and Kowira DTB (Koperasi Angkatan Bersenjata Diraja Brunei Dengan Tangunggan Berhad).
The strategic partnership with SCOT allows for new opportunities for the public to purchase not only more groceries but also donation packages and bundles for the underpriviledged at any time of the year.
Such packages are part of SCOT’s Charity Drive and offers bundles for the underprivileged, starting as low as $8 to provide basic hygiene needs to $39.94 to provide household necessities.
Another effect of the MoU will be access to more storage space for KadaiRuncit, allowing them more access to products in need.
The collaboration with Kowira also allows military personal and civilians to use the ABDB Skim Kemudahan Kredit (ABDB Credit Scheme) to purchase the products and packages offered on the platform, opening up these options to a wider audience.
