Dream Foods, a local food manufacturing company, has won the first ASEAN-Korea Excellent Design Exhibition Award for its product; Rojak BAR (Brunei Authentic Recipe), a peanut-based multi-purpose sauce.
The award was to showcase creative packaging design industry and recognise the best of its class in the ever-competitive international arena.
Rojak BAR bagged the prestigious award for its revamped design concept and colourful bottles, shifting from its previous plastic packaging to glass – in a bid to promote reusability and sustainability.
A new party pack was also introduced to include all three flavours to boost user experience and marketability.
The competition which kicked off in June received almost 50 design submissions from 11 ASEAN countries and went through rigorous evaluations by judges from each member country to assess different aspects such as creativity, attractiveness, and innovation, among others.
In the award acceptance speech by the company’s managing director, Md Yamin Abd Hamid tributed the award to Darussalam Enterprise who has supported Rojak BAR from its debut.
Furthermore, the recognition is also timely with the opening of its first flagship store at Kontena Park in Anggerek Desa Technology Park, which is set to open in January 2021.
