Standard Chartered Bank (SC) yesterday presented two Liverpool FC match tickets and return air tickets to the grand winner of its 60th Anniversary Digital Banking promotion.

The game and flight tickets and were presented to Masli Wijaya Hj Mohammad, who took part in the lucky draw campaign after making transactions online through SC’s Online Banking portal.

Masli also won accommodation for two nights stay in Liverpool for two.

He was one of the three finalists whose names were drawn internally, witnessed by a member from the SC Legal team, Client Experience team, Brand and Marketing Team, and the Digital Banking team. 

Other winners include Karen Grace Caidlang Lapaz, who won herself a Samsung Galaxy S9 smartphone, and Dayangku Noor Hardiwana Junaidi (represented by Muhd Rifaie bin Haji Abas), who took home a Garmin Forerunner 30 digital fitness tracker.

The campaign, which ran from 16 April to July 31, was aimed to reward existing clients, and to encourage new clients to use the SC Online Banking platform.

The prize presentation ceremony took place at the bank’s Gadong Priority Banking Centre. 

Prizes were also given to finalists for the “new” users category, which comprised of first-time users of the SC mobile banking app or SC Online banking portal from January 1.

Prizes in this category comprised of an Apple iPad 9.7 (WiFi) 128GB, a Nintendo Switch game console and a Bang & Olufsen A1 portable speaker, presented to Maria Noemi Mangliman Manabat, Hajah Nurul Aqmarina Haji Salim and AKM Ahsan Ullah, respectively.

“Standard Chartered Bank has seen incredible growth in the use of our mobile app which is first in the market to incorporate biometric login,” said Jonathan Lim, SC’s Head of Digital Banking.

“We are extremely pleased to reward both new and returning users with amazing prizes for choosing digital as the preferred way to bank with us,” he added.
