DST Winter Wonders
Friends and families will be treated to the ultimate holiday celebration as Jerudong Park has been transformed into a magical wonderland for the much-anticipated DST Winter Wonders which is running until 3 Jan next year.
The 10-day event which is organised by DST and Sparks Co features four themed areas namely; Snow Village as the main attraction, Vendors Lane, Street Food Marketplace and Urban Dining.
Games, ice-skating and more!
DST Winter Wonders offers an array of fun-filled games and entertainment for all ages.
Test your skills at their exciting game booths and challenge yourselves to collect as many reward points as possible. From tossing rings to basketball shooting, you can stand a chance to win from the cuddly collection of plush toys.
Moreover, keep your children entertained with the fuzzy stars of the Puppet Show filled with fun, laughter and spectacular story telling.
The show offers an immersive walk-through experience designed for one group at a time. Every few hours, under the magical tent, ‘Willy Wonka’ will read stories to the children with the help of his puppet friends.
Strap on your skates, show off your skills and soak in the enchanting atmosphere of snow, twinkling lights and festive decorations surrounding the synthetic ice rink.
Trainers are also on hand to assist first-time skaters. You can also reserve a handy penguin or polar bear skate aid to help children on the ice rink.
Festive Food For All
Aside from games and activities, the event also features 30 range of vendors selling a variety of products and services from homemade delicacies, baked goods to exciting spin-the-wheel promotions.
The best part is the wide range of winter-inspired food catering to all tastes, whether you are a meat lover, coffee-holic or sweet-tooth, you are all in for a treat.
Fancy having tea in London? The Marquee Cafe by My Favoureat Kopitiam is offering a unique dining experience that replicates an afternoon tea in the city.
Set under an elegant tent, decked in festive decor, the Marquee Cafe offers a collection of its specially selected and quality tea with a range of unique flavours, including the Dorchester Afternoon Blend, Number 12, French Earl Grey Tea and many more.
Moreover, a wide selection of savoury sandwiches, scones and other pastries are served alongside the drinks.
Instagram-based Detik Cookies was also among those vendors participating in the event.
Customers can indulge in their signature handmade delicacies in a range of flavours from their best-selling red velvet cookies to their matcha cookies.
The students from Seri Begawan Religious Teachers University College (KUPU SB) started their online-based baked business early in June this year, hoping to gain extra income while also continuing their studies.
The small-scale business also recently opened a pop-up stall based at The Box at Jln Telanai.
Detik Cookies co-founder Wan Muhammad Zahid Metussin who has a strong passion for baking, said that they are excited about it being the first big event for their business and hopefully plans on participating in more future events.

The event features Malibrew Coffee Works, an up-and-coming home-based business specialising in crafted cold brew and coffee.
Whether you like your black or white, hot or cold Malibrew Coffee Works offers a range of drinks to choose from.
If you are looking for fruity and fresh drinks, the Sunrise is a refreshing twist. This popular drink features espresso mixed with tonic and a hint of orange. It is the perfect blend of coffee bitterness and a sweetness to quench your thirst.
For this event, Malibrew are introducing the best-selling German Five Elephant roaster, famous for their top-quality coffee that has a hint of caramel flavour to it.
Founder of Malibrew Coffee Works, Amali Abdul Rahman shared that platforms like the DST Winter Wonders have helped boost exposure to online and home-based businesses like his.
The DST Winter Wonders at Jerudong Park will be start from December 23 -27 and December 30 to January 3 from 2:30pm to 10pm on Wednesdays to Fridays and from 10am to 10pm on Saturdays and Sunday.
ANIMALS IN THE PARK
Calling all animal lovers! . Jerudong Park recently welcomed new members of their furry, finned and feathered friends to their family.
Visitors can find out all about the park’s newest arrivals at the Animals in the Park.
The family-fun exhibition is divided into three sections namely; Aviary, Petting and Edutainment and Aquarium where visitors can catch a glimpse of the animal’s unique behavior and learn about their many different habitats.
The Aviary Section
Step into the immersive aviary section, where fine-feathered flock of friendly colourful birds swoop and soar above your head and majestic Peafowl would walk beside you.
Get up-close and personal with the feathered friends and admire their beautiful feathers of red, blue, yellow and lime green.
There are plenty of birds to see; from the lovebirds sitting on the perches to the small, sassy Green-cheeked Conure, who is shy at first but would sneak up on you for some biscuits.
The cheek Conure will also want to greet you and land on your head or shoulders. They are wide-eyed and active watching your every move.
See the Golden pheasants who are known for being beautiful, brightly- coloured birds. Although they are shy in nature, It’s hard not to miss them.
Did you know that every year the peafowls shed their long, beautiful, ocellated tail feathers? At the aviary section, you can also learn more about the birds and their background
Petting and Edutainment Section
Visitors who want to get up close and personal with the animals will definitely enjoy the “petting and edutainment” section where you have a chance to pet some of the reptiles and fluffy animals around.
For reptile enthusiasts, they can learn more about the cold-blooded animals at the section from the powerful bites of introverted blue-tongue skinks to one of the biggest species of tortoise in the world, the Sulcata Tortoises.
Say Hi to Ben, a friendly Binturong who has been a park favourite since he first arrived.
Binturongs are sometimes known as “bear cat” because they look like a cat with body of a bear. Did you also know that to humans, they smell like buttered popcorn.
Not only that, you can pose for a perfect picture with the friendly pythons around and meet-and-treat Alexa, the African grey parrot with a joyous personality
The Aquarium Section
The Aquarium Section is a great way to learn more about the different sea creatures from all parts of the world from the Marine Purple Tang to the Amazonian Ripsaw Eel.
Be sure to catch the sequel to “Finding Nemo”, where you can now catch the adorable Dory, a regal blue tang in swimming among the mesmerising orange-black-white clownfish.
Visitors can get their hands wet at the touch-tank exhibition where they can feel the spiny sea stars and discover the texture of the enigmatic sea cucumbers.
Did you know that sea stars are known to regenerate after they have suffered an injury that rips off one of their limbs?
Not only that, you can also get to see the latest member of the touch-tank exhibition, the beautiful Linckia Sea Star, with it’s unusual distinctive blue colour.
These sea creatures at the exhibition are handled with the utmost care and are under careful supervision. Visitors are told to be gentle and careful when touching them.
Moreover, all the animals at the park have their own QR code for visitors to scan and learn interesting facts about them.
In addition to spending time with the animals, there are plenty of games, quizzes and colouring activities to keep both children and adults entertained
Entrance fees to Animals to Park
Visitors need to purchase JP’s $5 entrance fee, on top of the $6 “Animals in the Park” ticket. Whereas, children aged two and under do not require an entrance ticket to access the animal exhibition.
The opening hours are from 4pm to 10pm on Thursday – Friday and Saturday to Sunday is from 10am to 10.30pm.
Jerudong Park Playground has strictly enhanced its COVID-19 safety measure to provide a fun yet safe experience for visitors with hand sanitisers and handwashing stations nearby every entry and exit of each section.
