Maju Motors recently unveiled its first-ever line of ŠKODA vehicles into the Bruneian market with the introduction of their best-selling models – Karoq, Kodiaq, Superb and Octavia.

The launch of ŠKODA in Brunei signifies the brand’s expanding footprint and is committed in its success in Southeast Asia.

The Czech brand built itself a reputation for its slick design and impressive performance, borrowing technology and engines from the German automaker, Volkswagen.

ŠKODA has steadily developed an impressive line of vehicles and its reputation as a maker of inexpensive but functional cars can be found in the very DNA of ŠKODA, which name means smarter life choices.

With the addition of the Czech brand’s portfolio, the dealership will have an even stronger line-up of cars targeted at different value segments of the market.

At the recent public launch, the auto dealer displayed three models of the ŠKODA namely, Octavia Ambition, Octavia RS245 and the Kodiaq.

The current generation of sedan Octavia which is a worldwide bestseller is more dynamic than ever thanks to its new streamlined body and wider track.

It impresses with proven strengths and sets standards in its segment in terms of interior space, boot space, functionality, technology for safety and comfort.

The powerful Octavia RS 245 is powered by a 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine, similar to the VW Golf GTi, accelerating from 0 to 100km/hr in just 6.6 seconds.

On the outside, the Octavia gives out a sporty sedan look with its signature butterfly grille in a hexagonal shape and sleek headlamps.

While the Octavia proves to be a comfortable and spacious family sedan, it doesn’t fall short when you want to have a little fun behind the wheel.

ŠKODA has added comfort, convenience and infotainment features such as the 8.0-inch Bolero infotainment display with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, ambient lighting, reversing camera and rear parking sensors to the models.

Moreover, the Octavia Ambition is powered by a 1.4-litre turbocharged engine that is efficient and packs a good punch.

It pushes out more than adequate 148bhp and 250Nm of torque to the front wheels, coupled with a smooth-shifting seven-speed dual-clutch transmission.

Further on the market for family-friendly cars is the midsize SUV Kodiaq. It is the first ever proper SUV and a seven-seater that distinguished SKODA from the competitive SUV market.

Inside is where the magic happens where one of the highlighted features include hidden umbrellas in the front doors and windscreen clip to store parking tickets, pushing the brand’s reputation for being “simply clever.

The Kodiaq comes with two turbocharged petrol engine options the 1.4-litre TSI engine and 2.0-litre TSI engine.
