McDonald’s Brunei and Radio Service of Radio Televisyen Brunei (RTB) recently held a sungkai get-together with orphans as part of the broadcast’s 11th Jalinan Kasih Project.

The event was held at the eatery’s Lambak drive-thru and attended by 16 children accompanied by their guardians who then each received donations prior to breaking fast.

The joint sungkai get-together and project was part of McDonald’s Brunei corporate social responsibility that aim to help ease the burden and spread love to those who are in need, orphans, individuals with special needs, Muslim converts and less fortunate families.

For RTB’s Radio Service, the project has helped senior citizens, orphans and the poor from across all districts through the presentation of donations.

In attendance to hand over the contribution were RTB Director Hj Muhammad Suffian Hj Bungsu and Makan Ceria Board of Directors member Hj Yushadi Satria Dato Paduka Dr Hj Hussain.

As part of its ongoing initiative, both organisations visited three families in Brunei – Muara district on Wednesday to give out donations in terms of cash basic daily needs.
