Bank Islam Brunei Darussalam (BIBD) has encouraged merchants to adopt its wide-ranging digital payment facilities ahead of the MSME Festival slated for March 28 to 31 at the Bridex Halls in Jerudong.
The bank recently held a briefing to promote its BIBD NEXGEN – its flagship project aimed at creating a robust digital payment eco-system by providing security, innovation and documentation for any of its cashless transactions.
Besides highlighting the benefits of its digital platform capabilities, BIBD officials also promoted its vCard, BIBD Wallet, QuickPay and Progresif Pay to merchants.
ead of Retail Banking Hjh Nurul Akmar Hj Md Jaafar said: She further added: “in creating alliances, especially with non-banking industries, we are able to extend our expertise onto a larger audience who were traditionally not able to enjoy being part of a digital economic ecosystem.”
BIBD will also be showcasing its revised MSME account at the festival, which will focus on including more entrepreneurs to better understand and manage their business financials. The minimum fee of $50 to open up this account is also hoped to ease businesses in maintaining and managing their costs.
