THE Ministry of Primary Resources and Tourism (MPRT) is reopening its request for proposal for a public-private partnership on several projects aimed at improving tourism infrastructure in Temburong.

Minister of Primary Resources and Tourism Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Ali Apong said these projects include investing, constructing, managing and maintaining Eco-Chalet resorts and the Reserve Centre in Kg Batang Duri.

The request will be opened to public again in April this year.

Other projects to help improve tourism in Temburong include the construction of a resort in Kg Pedayan, which features 30 units of luxurious camps, restaurants, swimming pools and other facitilites.

The MPRT is also looking to develop the Bangar Walking Trail, said the minister, where historical sites around Bangar are marked on maps and signboards with related information included to be given to visiting tourists.

Additionally, the minister also said that MPRT will be relaunching the Temburong Holiday Destination package which includes exciting choices such as two days one night package, and the day trip and night jungle trekking package.
