The Ministry of Finance and Economy (MoFE) recently organised a Customer Appreciation Day 2020 (HMP2020) themed “Ke Arah Penambahbaikan Kualiti Perkhidmatan” (Towards Improving Quality of Service).
The event which was held at the ministry’s lobby was aimed to promote information, reform, improve services and introduce departments and divisions.
Additionally, HMP2020 hoped to raise awareness and knowledge of the public on MoFE’s initiatives through booths set up around the vicinity.
Participating departments were Department of Economic Planning and Statistics (JPES), Brunei Economic Development Board (BEDB), Tabung Amanah Pekerja (TAP), Darussalam Enterprise (DARE) and Brunei’s online Registry of Companies and Business Names (ROCBN).
The event was launched by the Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office and Minister of Finance and Economy II, Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Dr Awang Hj Mohd Amin Liew Abdullah.
Following the launch, the minister along with the Deputy Minister of Finance and Economy (Fiscal) Dato Seri Paduka Awang Hj Ahmaddin Hj Abdul Rahman, Deputy Minister of Finance and Economy (Economy) Dato Seri Paduka Dr Hj Abdul Manaf Hj Metussin visited the booths, accompanied by Legislative Council members, led by YB Hj Ramli Hj Lahit.
The event also saw the launch of the Competition Commission Brunei Darussalam (CCBD) website, www.ccbd.gov.bn along with four guideline books on Complaint Procedures, Leniency, Anti-Competitive Agreements and Extension of Transitional Period, officiated by the minister.
The website provides information for entrepreneurs and members of the public on the implementation and enforcement orders towards business compliance.
The CCBD is committed to enhancing economic efficiency and consumer welfare in the sultanate.
