More than 60 cats compete in furry contest

More than 60 domestic cats competed in the qualifying rounds of the third SmartHeart “Finest Feline” Cat Competition held at Parvati Textile Premises in Serasa last week.

They were all given health screening and few consultations before coming to the qualifiers.

Passing this round will bring them closer to the grand prize of $1,000 and other cash incentives at the finale that is slated for November 17 at the Airport Mall in Berakas.

Organised by Parvati Textile, the contest aimed aimed to educate pet owners the importance of healthcare and grooming for their beloved animals.  They do this through a series of activities and prizes.

Parvati in a statement invited members of the public to come to the final rounds to see their furry friends in action, adding that a new SmartHeart food product will also be launched on the same day.

The event is held with the support of the Department of Agriculture and Agrifood, Care and Action for Strays (CAS), Institute of Brunei Technical Education (IBTE) and Si Manja Pet Grooming Spa.
