Brunei’s wushu squad won two silver medals at the opening of the 30th SEA Games in Philippines last Sunday.

Basma Lachkar won the first silver in women’s taijiquan with 9.55 points, finishing second to defending champion Agatha Wong of the Philippines who scored 9.67 points.

Hosea Wong, on the other hand, became the runner-up after scoring 9.59 points in men’s taijiquan, 0.09 points behind Malaysia’s Loh Choon How who secured the top spot.

The wushu team is also in a good position to win gold for men’s nandao and nangun combined event as Mohd Adi Salihin Roslan is currently in the lead for nandao with 9.64 points.

His performance in the nangun event today will determine his place in the game.
