NBT Brunei recently held its “NBT Cares With Orphans” (Sentuhan Kasih NBT bersama Anak-Anak Yatim) as part of the company’s corporate social responsibility at the Lexus Showroom in Gadong.
Eighty orphans were all smiles as they received Ramadhan gifts from the Toyota autodealer, comprising of cash donations, daily necessities, chocolates, cookies and more.
The project has been ongoing for several years to bring cheer in the holy month of Ramadhan to the identified orphans in the spirit of NBT Cares, said NBT in a statement.
NBT Managing Director Haji Ahmad Omar Hj Husin expressed his grattitude for the assistance given by the company’s staff and families for bringing some extra joy to the orphans during the holy month of Ramadhan.
“This is obviously thanks to the strong continuous trust and support of the Brunei Community for Toyota, Lexus, and NBT, “ he added.
For Emmielia Kartiena Ahmad Zaini, a mother of six children, the donations definitely help lessen the family’s burden during Ramadhan and that they are thankful to NBT.
The donations comprised of pocket monies and daily neccessities.
On hand to present the donations were NBT Managing Director Haji Ahmad Omar Hj Husin and Senior General Manager Sales NBT Leong Cheng Soon.
