NBT Brunei unveiled a new gateway into the brand with its first-ever compact luxury crossover – the Lexus UX.

Making its first debut at the Lexus showroom in Gadong, the UX is aimed at a younger generation of Lexus buyers with its bold new design, ultra-efficient new powertrains and innovative luxury features.

The sole distributor of Lexus is bringing in two versions of the Lexus UX into the local market namely; UX 200 Premium and UX200 F-Sport trim.

“The UX delivers a fresh and dynamic appeal to younger buyers seeking for their first ever luxury vehicle,” he said during the official launch of the 2019 Lexus UX recently.

On the outside, the UX design exudes a contemporary styling that emphasises aerodynamics and elegance.

Furthermore, the design stays true to the signature Lexus look with its iconic spindle grille and a block-style mesh that changes shape depending on the viewing angle giving the vehicle an aggressive front fascia.

In addition, what stands out about the UX is its striking and sculptural rear end. The rear light bar is to become a new Lexus signature feature.

Meanwhile, for the interior, the Lexus is designed to be driver-centric, offering a new trim finish that is inspired by Japanese paper grain and traditional quilted leather upholstery.

In addition, the crossover also comes complete with technology that really speaks to the younger consumer.

This includes a 10.3-inch infotainment screen that is controlled by a touchpad – convenience right at your fingertips, along with wireless charger.

In terms of power, the UX embraces the latest powertrain technology, underscored by the latest 2.0-liter engine, engineered to provide a high level of dynamic and environmental performance with excellent fuel consumption.

The Lexus UX is also the first model to be based on Toyota’s Global Architecture-Compact (GA-C),engineered to deliver quick and engaging driving response while communicating a sense of stability and safety.

As for safety features, the Lexus UX is equipped with standard full deck of active safety features including the forward-collision warning and automatic emergency braking, among others.

Buyers can choose between three striking new colours – Blazing Carnelian, Terrain Khaki and Celestial Blue
