A total of 23 active cases are still being treated at the NIC, where two individuals are still in critical condition, with both requiring respiratory and heart/lung machine (ECMO) assistance.
As of today, a total of 2407 individuals have completed their quarantine, while 76 individuals are currently undergoing quarantine in accordance to the Infectious Disease Act (Chapter 204).
In the past 24 hours, a total of 263 samples have been tested for SARS-CoV-2 virus, bringing the total number of laboratory tests conducted since January 2020 to 11,089 tests.
The health minister also revealed that two more cases out of the 11 cases that had been cured but were readmitted to the National Isolation Centre (NIC) recently, were tested negative for the coronavirus after three follow-up examinations.
“These cases will undergo self-isolation for another 14 days at home, in accordance to the current SOP. This means that only seven cases are still undergoing examination and tests,” said YB Dato Dr Hj Md Isham.
